A fair question for the board

Why is/was everyone outraged with Barry Bonds over the whole steroids scandal, yet noone has even mentioned or started one thread about Roger Clemens on here? The media hasnt talked about it nearly as much either. Whats up here fellas, a double standard or what, you tell me, discuss.

Double standard? Absolutely. But, Bonds is a pompous jerk and he brought a lot of this negative publicity on himself.

Clemens can certainly give Bonds a run for his money when it comes to being a pompous jerk.

I think visual evidence is another factor. You can look at Bonds and see clear evidence of change due to steroid use, not just in muscle mass but also in some facial feature change. It's a no brainer that he has juiced. I don't think the same is true of Clemens

Visual evidence? Are you serious about this? Well lets lock him up and throw away the key because we have "visual" evidence that Bonds juiced. Wow! I've heard it all now.

Look at a photo of Bonds when he was with the Pirates. Then look at a photo of him today.

Big difference. People don't get bigger once they hit 40.

Big difference there. I'm sure Bonds has hit the training room quite heavily over the years, but how does he account for the increased size of his cabeza? I'd love to know what his hat size was in Pittsburgh and what his hat size was when he set the HR record.

alright.. im going to have to actually defend bonds on this.. look at him... look at pictures from EACH year of his career.. there isnt a single year wher ehe comes back and is just MUCH bigger... he got bigger as the progressed... has he ever used steroids?? yes im sure he has... most professional athletes probably have... did he do it continually... nahh.. i dont think so... give the man credit where he deserves it... defiently one of the best hitters the game has ever seen..and probably the last great one.. since baseball is just horrible to watch anymore...
